Destination markets in fine weather

Logo Bretagne

To fill your shopping basket with fresh produce, meet the producers or just enjoy the lively atmosphere, the markets are a must during the holidays. Stop off at the emblematic markets of the Quimperlé region.

#1 On Tuesdays, head for the market in Moëlan-sur-Mer

ALL YEAR ROUND, mornings from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Every Tuesday morning, the market town of Moëlan is transformed into one big open-air shop. Textiles, homewares and shoes mingle with the food stalls.

Popular with the locals, this is one of the biggest markets in the Quimperlé area. More than 100 stallholders are present during the high season.

Your shopping will be punctuated by musical entertainment during the fine weather. What better way to get your holiday off to a flying start?

#2 Fridays to the Quimperlé market

ALL YEAR ROUND, mornings from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In the heart of the upper town, the Place Saint-Michel car park becomes a large market every Friday. A weekly rendezvous for the people of Quimper, it is also a delight for visitors, with a wide variety of stallholders.

It's also synonymous with exceptional products. On the stalls you'll find all our local products: andouille de Baye, flat oysters from Bélon and PDO cider from Cornouaille.

A place to treat yourself and others with holiday souvenirs and local gifts.

#3 On Saturdays, head for the Clohars-Carnoët market

ALL YEAR ROUND, mornings from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In front of the lively café terraces and at the foot of the town hall, the village market comes alive every Saturday morning. Active throughout the year with around twenty traders, it expands to include around thirty professionals in the summer months.

All the "great classics" - fruit, vegetables, fish and cheese - go well with gourmet specialities such as the famous buckwheat or wheat crêpes, Kouign-amann or Far Breton!

With your family or friends, let yourself be tempted by the conviviality of this market and stock up on good produce for a successful picnic right on the water at Le Pouldu!
